Pearl Harbor II by Saul H. Jacobs sjacobs@dakotacom.net Updated with the HUD 01/15/97 This is the first of the Pacific Alliance series of scenarios. This series assumes that the Pacific countries have developed their own economic sphere and military forces. These countries have formed a coalition headed by Japan and China to take control of the Pacific ocean area. The feeling is that the military forces of the Eureapeon and American nations must be made ineffective in order to bring the smaller nations into the coalition. The Japanese feel that if Pearl Harbor is attacked and damaged enough, it will not only weaken the U.S. position in the pacific but will also destroy the publics will to fight. The problem is that they do not have the carriers to do the damage neccessary. They have built several BCGN's based on the Russian Kirov class with enough throw weight to do the damage neccessary. The problem is that they must get these ships close enough to fire their missiles. This is not 1941, a suprise attack will be very difficult. With the available recconasiance planes and the range of the American aircaft, the Japanese fleet should be destroyed before the become a threat.
